Western Rite Orthodox Liturgy – Sunday 9th February – Nottingham

A Western Rite Orthodox Liturgy will be celebrated in Nottingham at Redhill Cemetery Chapel, Arnold on Sunday 9th February 2020 (the third Sunday after Epiphany), beginning at 9.30 a.m.

The chapel is just a short walk from the entrance of the cemetery. If you’re planning to come by car, the Cemetery Chapel is clearly visible from Mansfield Road (A60). Parking isn’t alowed in the cemetery grounds, but there is a free municipal car park directly opposite the entrance to the cemetery, linked by a pedestrian crossing.

Confessions may be heard before the start of the liturgy.

Western Rite Orthodox Liturgy – Isleworth – 19th January 2020

We’ll be celebrating the feast of Epiphany on Sunday January 19th 2020 at Saint Mary the Virgin, Worton Road, Isleworth, Middlesex, TW7 6ED, starting at 11 a.m.  Saint Mary the Virgin church is close to Hounslow East on the Piccadilly line and Isleworth train station. Street parking is also available.

 

Saint Irenaeus House of Orthodox Studies

Saint Irenaeus House of Orthodox Studies ( SIHOS) is an educational outreach of the ROCOR WR Communities. It will be a separate corporate entity and is expected to be self- funding.  Contributions are always appreciated.  Classes start January 13. This program is open to any Clergy or laity seeking a deeper ( or refresher) understanding of Orthodox theology. The first course is 8 weeks and is an Orthodox Introduction to the Old Testament.  The text for the course is less than $20. Subsequent modules include: Orthodox Survey of the New Testament, Church History/ The Seven Ecumenical Councils, Orthodox Dogmatic Theology. Application fees are $35. Course fees are $55 a month. It is an excellent program.

15th December 2019 – St Mary the Virgin, Isleworth, London

We’ll be celebrating the first Sunday of Advent on December 15th 2019 at Saint Mary the Virgin, Worton Road, Isleworth, Middlesex, TW7 6ED, starting at 11 a.m.  Elizabeth will be received into the Church before the liturgy and there will be a celebratory meal afterwards. Saint Mary the Virgin church is close to Hounslow East on the Piccadilly line and Isleworth train station. Street parking is also available.
