Easter 4 – Sunday 26th May 2019 – Isleworth

We’ll be celebrating the fourth Sunday after Easter on Sunday 26th May 2019 at Saint Mary the Virgin, Worton Road, Isleworth, Middlesex, TW7 6ED, starting at 11 a.m. Saint Mary the Virgin church is close to Hounslow East on the Piccadilly line and Isleworth train station. Street parking is also available.

 

Western Rite Matins – Sunday 5th May – Nottingham

A Western Rite Matins service will be held in Nottingham at Redhill Cemetery Chapel on Sunday 5th May (First Sunday after Easter), beginning at 10.30 a.m.

The chapel is just a short walk from the entrance of the cemetery. Matins lasts approximately half an hour, with the lessons being: Isa. 51:1-16 and Lk. 24:13-35. Booklets containing the order of service will be provided.

If you’re planning to come by car, the Cemetery Chapel is clearly visible from Mansfield Road (A60). We’re not allowed to park in the cemetery grounds, but there is a free municipal car park directly opposite the entrance to the cemetery, linked by a pedestrian crossing.

Spring Concerts

The Sisters of the Convent of Saint Elisabeth serve in clinics and hospitals and operate two rehabilitation centers, reaching out to most vulnerable groups of the society. They also run a Christian school and carry on a number of inclusive projects for children with special needs and the less able.

They are planning a series of concerts in the UK, which will take place at the following times and locations:

The second monthly Western Rite Matins service in Nottingham will be held at Redhill Cemetery Chapel on Sunday 14th April (Passion Sunday), beginning at 10.30 a.m.

The chapel is just a short walk from the entrance of the cemetery. Matins lasts approximately half an hour, after which we’ll have a short discussion based on the lessons of the day (Exod. 2:23–3:20 & Mk. 10:32-45). Booklets containing the order of service will be provided.

We’ll be celebrating Orthodox Palm Sunday on 21st April 2019 at Saint Mary the Virgin, Worton Road, Isleworth, Middlesex, TW7 6ED.  Note that this is the same date as Western Easter Sunday. We’ll be celebrating the third Sunday in Lent on 31st  March 2019 at Saint Mary the Virgin, Worton Road, Isleworth, Middlesex, TW7 6ED.  Terce will begin at 11 am followed by Mass around 11.30.
